GENEVA, SWITZERLAND: Tanzania's Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and HIV/AIDS Affairs, Dr. Johannes Lembulung Lukumay, MP, has continued to elevate the country's international profile after serving as one of the distinguished International Panellists at a United Nations conference focusing on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Nervous System Injuries.
The high-level conference, currently underway in Geneva, Switzerland, has brought together global policymakers, health experts, researchers and development partners to deliberate on strategies for preventing, managing and mitigating the impact of traumatic brain and neurological injuries.
During the forum, Dr. Lukumay is expected to share Tanzania's experience in strengthening policies, prevention strategies and healthcare systems addressing traumatic brain and nervous system injuries, while also drawing on international best practices to enhance the country's health sector interventions.
