MP DR. LUKUMAY SITS AT THE SAME TABLE WITH PRESIDENT SAMIA, DISCUSSES HEALTH ISSUES

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, led leaders and health experts in attending the Second International Conference of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, held at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam on April 16, 2026.
The high-level international conference brought together health professionals from various countries around the world, aiming to discuss advancements in medical science, share experiences, and strengthen neurosurgical services.
Among the national leaders who had the opportunity to participate was the Member of Parliament for Arumeru West, Johannes Lembulung Lukumay, who also serves as Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and HIV/AIDS Affairs. Dr. Lukumay was seen seated at the same table with President Samia, a gesture that underscores the importance of collaboration between the arms of government in strengthening the country’s health sector.
During the meeting, Dr. Lukumay also had the opportunity to present and discuss key health-related challenges affecting both the nation and his constituency, emphasizing the need for continued investment and policy support to improve healthcare services.
